The Bucks and the Sixers were two of the worst teams in the NBA earlier this season, but since then, they’ve gone in different directions.
Milwaukee are creeping into the Top 10 in the Eastern Conference because of their recent winning streak, while Philadelphia’s 2024-25 campaign continues to go downhill.
The Bucks and Sixers will resume their NBA Cup campaign tomorrow with home games against the Pacers and Nets.
Elsewhere, the Wizards, Pelicans, Bulls, Rockets, Nuggets, and Clippers will host the Celtics, Warriors, Hawks, Blazers, Mavericks, and Kings, respectively.
The NBA Cup group stage is slowly approaching its conclusion, so there’s a huge sense of urgency for these teams to notch wins.

Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia Sixers
The preseason NBA 2024 odds had the Sixers as a legitimate contender. But here they are, owners of the worst record in the NBA at 2-12 and winless after two NBA Cup matches.
What’s ruining their campaign are injuries. The Big 3 of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George barely played together – only six minutes to be exact.
Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George were supposed to lead Philadelphia past Memphis. However, George hurt his knee anew in the third period, and the nine-time NBA All-Star will reportedly miss the next two games.
The Nets returned to the win column after they ended their three-game losing streak against the Hornets.
Cameron Johnson took care of the scoring by dropping 34 points on 11-for-20 shooting from the field. However, Johnson will likely take a back seat since Cam Thomas, Brooklyn’s top scorer, returns to the lineup tomorrow.
Betting tip – Cam Thomas Over 24.50 @ 1.96
Boston Celtics @ Washington Wizards
After a statement win against the previously undefeated Cavaliers, the Celtics head to the nation’s capital to meet the Wizards for the second time this year.
Jayson Tatum continues his NBA MVP charge, as he almost recorded a triple-double in his last three games. Against Cleveland, the five-time NBA All-Star had 33 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and six three-pointers on 50-per cent shooting from the field.
His co-star, Jaylen Brown, pitched in 17 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. The reigning Finals MVP, despite struggling with his shot, is averaging a career-high 4.4 assists per contest this season.
The Wizards are on a nine-game losing streak after coming off a 134-106 loss against the Knicks. Bub Carrington, Jonas Valanciunas, and Corey Kispert tallied 18 points each in the blowout defeat.
Don’t be surprised if their winless run extends to 10 games tomorrow.
Betting tip – Boston Celtics Asian Handicap -15.50 @ 2.00
Indiana Pacers @ Milwaukee Bucks
Since their recent loss against the Celtics, the Bucks have won four of their last five to improve to a 6-9 record.
Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to put the city of Milwaukee on his back. The Greek Freak flirted with a triple-double in their 122-106 victory over the Rockets by dropping 41 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.
Damian Lillard has put in two straight double-doubles since his return from a concussion. However, he hasn’t shot the ball well, going 13-for-35 in his last two appearances.
The Pacers are coming off back-to-back double-digit losses against the Raptors and the Rockets as Tyrese Haliburton continues to struggle.
The two-time NBA All-Star guard had one of his worst performances of the season against Houston, as he only had four points on 1-for-7 shooting from the field.
Betting tip – Milwaukee Bucks Asian Handicap -5.50 @ 1.98
Dallas Mavericks @ Denver Nuggets
The Mavericks plan to make it four wins in a row when they visit the Mile High to take on the Nuggets, but they’ll have to do it without their franchise player.
According to the NBA 2024 updates, Luka Doncic will be re-evaluated in one week after sustaining a right wrist sprain during Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans.
With the Slovenian sidelined, Kyrie Irving will bear the heavy load, and he’ll need help from PJ Washington, Dereck Lively II, Quentin Grimes, and Jaden Hardy.
As for the Nuggets, they’re hoping to have Nikola Jokic back in the lineup after missing the last three matches while tending to a personal matter.
If Jokic isn’t available, Jamal Murray, Russell Westbrook, and Michael Porter Jr. will lead the way for Denver. Russell Westbrook recently became the first player in NBA history to notch 200 career triple-doubles.
Betting tip – Denver Nuggets Asian Handicap -4.00 @ 1.95
