The Lakers aim to return to winning ways after seeing their four-game winning streak ended at the hands of the shorthanded Sixers last Tuesday, and they may have to do it without one of their star players. The Purple and Gold will be without NBA All-Star Anthony Davis, who is out for at least one week due to an abdominal injury. However, the NBA 2025 odds have them as the favourites to win tomorrow against the lowly Wizards in the nation’s capital.
Meanwhile, the Hawks, Timberwolves, Rockets, and Magic aim to get positive NBA 2025 results when they visit the Cavaliers, Jazz, Grizzlies, and Blazers.
Tomorrow is another exciting day in the Association despite its lean schedule. Without further ado, continue reading below as SBOTOP highlights the top three matches from the five-game slate.
Los Angeles Lakers @ Washington Wizards
Anthony Davis was a huge reason the Lakers lost 118-104 against the Sixers last Tuesday, as he left the match early due to an abdominal injury. The Brow went to the locker room near the end of the first period and was ruled out for the rest of the night at halftime when Philadelphia were up 73-57. With Davis ruled out, Rui Hachimura, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jaxson Hayes will get more playing time.
LeBron James did all he could to keep Los Angeles afloat by racking up 31 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists on 10-for-16 shooting from the field and 10-for-11 shooting from the charity stripe. However, he also had eight of the team’s 19 turnovers. Dalton Knecht was the other bright spot for the Purple and Gold, as the rookie swingman had 24 points, five rebounds, and five three-pointers on 8-for-13 shooting from the field off the bench.
The Wizards still own the worst record in the NBA (6-40), as their losing streak was extended to 15 games. Washington are coming off a 106-82 defeat against Toronto last Wednesday.
Only three players scored double-digit points for the Wizards. Kyle Kuzma had 19 points and 10 rebounds on 7-for-14 shooting from the field. Justin Champagnie got 12 points, six rebounds, and two steals in 15 minutes. Kyshawn George added 10 points and three assists.
Rookie forward Alex Sarr was absent due to a sprained ankle, and the Wizards hope he’ll return against the Lakers.

Atlanta Hawks @ Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers have gotten over their recent three-game slide, as they’ve built a new winning streak after recording double-digit victories against the Pistons and the Heat. Their result against Miami was one of their best performances this season, as they never trailed throughout the contest.
Donovan Mitchell starred for Cleveland last Wednesday by putting up a team-high 34 points, six assists, two steals, and five three-pointers on 14-for-23 shooting from the field. Evan Mobley, Ty Jerome, Georges Niang, and Jarrett Allen added 22, 20, 15, and 12 points, respectively.
Cleveland plan to exploit Atlanta’s recent downturn in form. The Hawks are suddenly on a six-game losing streak, with their latest defeat being a 100-96 result against the Rockets last Tuesday.
Trae Young returned from a one-game absence against Houston, scoring 21 points, three rebounds, and nine assists on 7-for-16 shooting from the field. The three-time NBA All-Star is dealing with a hamstring injury, but he is expected to be available against Cleveland tomorrow.

Houston Rockets @ Memphis Grizzlies
The Rockets are one of the most in-form teams in the league because they’re on a four-game winning streak. As a result, they’ve taken the second seed in the Western Conference with a 32-14 record.
After securing consecutive victories against the East-leading Cavaliers (twice) and Celtics, the Rockets beat the Hawks through a balanced effort. Five guys scored double-digit points, with Jalen Green leading the way with 25 points, seven rebounds, and two steals on 11-for-24 shooting from the field. Alperen Sengun, Jae’Sean Tate, Amen Thompson, and Dillon Brooks added 18, 16,11, and 11 points, respectively.
The Grizzlies are behind the Rockets in the Western Conference standings with a 31-16 record. Memphis have won six of their last seven games, although they’ve lost their first three meetings with Houston this season.
Memphis are coming off a blowout loss against the Knicks last Monday. Jaren Jackson Jr. was the brightest spot in the defeat with 21 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and three three-pointers on 8-for-14 shooting from the field.
Betting tip – Memphis Grizzlies Asian Handicap -4.50 @ 1.85
